Study on support technology of mining roadway in fully-mechanized caving face in ultra thick coal seams

  • In order to solve the problem of roadway support of Kuangou coal mine of Shenhua Xinjiang Energy Co.,Ltd., theoretical analysis,numerical simulation, and field measurement methods were comprehensively used to optimize the roadway bolt support scheme.During the mining process, the range of transportation roadway affected by the advance vertical stress is about 55 m, and that of the return airway is about 70 m.The surrounding rock stress of return airway is relatively low.Supporting schemes are designed for the stress state and plastic area distribution of the two roadways respectively.The optimized support plan reduces the subsidence of the roof of returning airway and transportation roadway compared with the original support plan.The roof subsidence of the return air roadway and the transport roadway is reduced by 20% and 27%, the displacement of the working face is reduced by by 44% and 37%,and the displacement of the coal pillar side is reduced by 3% and 15%.The optimized bolting scheme improves the roadway support effect effectively and reduces the total cost of support materials by 10.1%, which could provide technical support and safety guarantee for the safe and efficient production of Kuangou coal mine.
