Determination on Rational Location of Final Terminal Mining Line for Protective Seam Pressure Releasing and Mining in Two Seams

  • In order to study the stress distribution evolution of the surrounding rock during the protective seam mining process and to study the dynamic law influen ced to the front floor gateway, based on the transmission law of the mining support stress in the front seam and seam floor, the FLAC2D was applied to simulate and an alyze the surrounding rock stress distribution features of the mining face with different coal pillar width under the protective seam mining process in No.11 seam as in N 0.13 seam.The FLAC2D was also applied to monitor and measure the surrounding rock deformation of the gateway.The results showed that during the low protective mi ning process, 110 m coal pillar left could reduce the mining activities affected to the front floor gateway and when the mining operation was in the top protected seam, t he final terminal mining lines set for the two seams should be eliminated at the same location and the distance between the two lines should be 3050 m in order to redu ce the overlying influences of the mining stress.
