Experiment study on airflow affected to generation of CO with low temperature oxidation of coal

  • in order to study the airfiow affected to the low temperature oxidized spontaneous combustion process of coal a programmed temperature rising method was applied to the coal temperature control under the condition of the constant temperature.with the means to steadily reduce the airflow,the variation law of absolute yield of C0 with coal temperature and aifiow was compared,and the equivalent airfiow at different coal temperature was determined.According to the variation of C0 increased rat ,the crtical temperature of the coal spontaneous combustion was determined.Wwith the theoretcal analysis and experiment study,based on the absolute yield of CO,in combination with the mine airfilow;,the expresson formula of the coal activated energy was derived and the relational expression between the coal temperature, absolute yield of CO aifiow andactivated energy was obtained.The study results showed that the absolute yield of CO would be increased with the mine airflow increased. When the equivalent airflow was exceeded,the absolute yield of CO would be kept in constant basically.The higher the coal temperature was,the greaterthe equivalent airfiow required by coal spontaneous combustion.The study would have important significances to deep probe the oal spontaneots combustion mechanism and to the site guidance of the coal spontaneous combustion prevention and control.
