Application and study on support technology of gateway in high stress and soft seam

  • In order to solve a difficult maintenance problem of the gateway in high stress and soft seam,based on the contral principle of the gateway in the high stress and soft seam,the paper analyzed the deformation failure features of the mine seam gateway under the previous support condition in Xinzheng Coal and Electric Power Co mpany and provided a combined support technology with bolt 1 steel mesh and U type steel. The results showed that the surrounding rock bed separation and breaking pro cess of the gateway in the high stress and soft seam was the self loading capacity steadily lost process of the surrounding rock. A single support method could not supply a sufficient support force to the surrounding rock. An active support and passive support combined method could make the surrounding rock always to keep certain self loadi ng capacity and the bolt 1 steel mesh and U type steel combined support technology would be an important means to realize the target. Under the support condition,the roo f and floor and the two sidewalls of the gateway would have the max convergence about 45 and 100 mm individually. The bolt 1 steel mesh and U type steel frame combine d support technology could control the deformation of the surrounding rock.
