New Inorganic Grouting Material Applied to Reinforce Broken Surrounding Rock

  • In order to analyze the performances of new organic grouting material and applied effect in the broken surrounding rock, a lab experiment method was a pplied to study a water cement ratio affected to three indexes of grout fluidity, setting time and compressive strength and an observation was conducted on the surround ing deformation value and surrounding broken condition of the trial roadway. The results showed that the higher the water cement ratio was and the higher the fluidity w ould be.When the water cement ratio was 0.7 : 1.0, the spreading degree of the grout would be 265 mm and could meet the requirements. The compressive strength wo uld be reduced with the water cement ratio increased. When the water cement ratio was over 0.9: 1.0, the compressive strength could not meet the requirements. There fore, the water cement ratio should be (0.7 ~ 0.9) : 1.0.After the grouting operation completed, the cracks in the coal would be backilled and consolidated. The grout C onsolidation in the borehole would be in sheet with different thickness or in strip, thus the spaces in the borehole were compacted and the coal integrality and stability w ere improved.
