Analysis on safety requirements of lithium ion battery applied to mine emergency refuge facility

  • In order to solve the lack of the targeted study status in the safety application of the lithium ion battery to the emergency refuge facility in the present un derground mine, based on the actual application requirements of the emergency refuge facility, with a full absorption and references of the available study and applicati on achievements, the 60 A.h lithium iron phosphate battery generally applied to the emergency refuge facility was selected as the study object. According to the optimiz ed selection on the battery anode and membrane as well as other material, the rational restriction of the max allowed applied volume, the determination of the safety pe rformance inspection and test method, the safety adjustment after the charge-discharge cycle and others, large number test method study and comparison test analysis were conducted on the many safety aspects of the lithium ion battery. The special safety requirements of the battery material selection, inspection and test and other as pects were provided in order to provide the references to the safety application of the lithium ion battery in the emergency refuge facility.
