Geological Control Factors of Coalbed Methane Occurrence in No. 3 Coal Seam of Longwan Coal Filed

  • The geological control law for coalbed methane occurrence in No.3 coal seam of Longwan Coal Field was discussed from four aspects: structure, chara cteristics of surrounding rock, depth of coal seam and hydrogeology condition. The results showed that coalbed methane content was different in the different fold positi ons, coalbed methane content would increase significantly when depth along syncline axis. The depth of coal seam had significant control effect to coalbed methane co ntent, characteristics of surrounding rock had less influence. The hydrogeology condition had certain control effect to coalbed methane occurrence.
