  • Due to roadway support difficulty of air return roadway pass through goaf in integrated Hongyuan coal mine, the authors adopted the backfill and groutin g technology in high caving area before the tunnel excavation, aiming at increasing the crushing gangue overall cohesion to form artificial roof, and improving the streng th of surrounding rock in goaf during driving with advanced boreholes grouting.The site practice results showed that the rib and roof falling phenomenon obviously were improved when the chemical grouting reinforcement materials was used.The convergence of two sidewalls was 118141 mm, roof-to-floor convergence was 123133 mm.
