  • In order to determine No.3 and No. 4 coal seam roadway layout of one mine during simultaneous mining, combining with the geological condition of coal seam, firstly, by the theoretical analysis, the roadways of the mining face mined simultaneously were arranged outward staggered. Then the numerical simulation FLAC 3 Dwas adopted to optimize the distance between roadways of contiguous seams by mining simultaneously, and the rational separation distance of roadways was 20 m. Finally, through the coal mine practice, the roof- to- floor convergence was 150 mm, and the convergence of two side walls was 120 mm in the lower roadway of No. 34 09 working face. The influence scope was limited in the range of 60 m in front of working face. The layout of roadways in contiguous seams by simultaneous mining was rational and the deformation of the surrounding rock of roadways was controlled effectively.
