In order to solve the problems of the current VR platform of single-user, lack of immersive experience and interesting, and expensive hardware, a low-cost, multiplayer serious-game VR simulation platform are designed and developed. Three key techniques are studies, which are VR visualization, multiplayer collaboration network design and mining process rule design. The system can simulate a realistic and complex underground fully-mechanized mining coal face environment, and provide the function of multiplayer login, equipment virtual operation, mining virtual simulation, operation evaluation. The research will provide a brand new tool for miner training and disaster drilling, and has a signification meaning of the work safety information.
