  • Aiming at problems caused by compressed air bottles or explosion-proof type battery exhausted in mine emergency refuge system which could not meet the demand for gas purifying beyond rated time, this paper designed gas purifying device on the basis of double pneumatic, electric fan series and parallel installation, t he foot human drive mechanism as the main purifying drive mode was added to reduce operating rotation speed of body and save labour. By test and comparative analy sis of foot human drive, electric, pneumatic modes in the state of independent working, purification performance for toxic and harmful gas was evaluated comprehensive ly, namely the calcium hydroxide's medicine layer thickness of 100 ~ 125 mm as load, under the maximum mode of exhaust air rate, volume of exhaust air reached81. 2 ~ 102. 4 m3during 20 min, so design objective on gas rapid purification of 20 persons emergency refuge system could be reached.
