  • In order to control the seam mining to the failure of the weak ecological system in Dongsheng Area,the deformation law of the surface ground above the full y- mechanized coal mining face in the area was obtained. A method to build the surface ground movement observation station was applied and the processing analysis was conducted on the data from the several observations. The results showed that the initial movement of the surface ground had sudden and serious features and was a high i ncreased subsidence value,a rapid reached max value and full mining activity. After the mining operation of the coal mining face completed,within a short time period,the su rface ground was reached in a stable status. There would be a concentrated deformation area at the coal pillar side with a distance of 50 m to the open- off cut and a side area with a distance of 100 m in the goaf and surface ground deformation value in the area was over the | grade failure standard of the building. With the predicted parame ter value by the probability- integral method,the subsidence coefficient was0. 71,the horizontal movement coefficient was 0. 40,a deviation coefficient of the left inflexion po int was 0.07 and a deviation cofficient of the right inflexion point was 0. 37.
