  • In order to solve a slow gateway driving speed in the coal and gas outburst mine,high tension mining and driving replacement,top corner gas frequent overli mit problem occurred in the mining period,the gob-side entry retaining technology with the flexible formwork and pumping concrete was provided. According to the geologic al and engineering condition of Xuehu Mine,based on the separation rock block mechanics model,the paper analyzed the sidewall backfill with of 1. 2 m for the gob-side en try retaining. The gob-side entry retaining technology with flexible formwork and pumping concrete was applied to the site trial in the air returning gateway of No. 2302 coal mining face. The results showed that the technology could effectively prevent the top corner gas accumulation and overlimit,improved the ventilation environment of the Co al mining face,reduced the driving rate of the gateway and effectively improvd the coal resources mining rate .Meanwhile with the optimized support method of the gateway,t he backfill support strength was improved and the surrounding rock control effect of the gateway was improved. The evaluation and analysis of the application effect could provide the bases to improve the gob-side entry retaining technology to the mine site.
