  • In order to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the seismic attribute interpretation, mathematic morphology principle was introduced to the processing and analysis on the seismic attribute image.In combination with the plane distribution features of the fault geological body, a geological interpretation process of the line ar features was formed.With a certain mining block as a case, an automatic geological interpretation of the fault could be realized.The study results showed that the ma thematic morphology would be an effective method to enhance and pick up the image linear features. The mathematic morphology technology and the seismic multi-attri bute interpretation technology combined for the geological interpretation could improve the efficiency and accuracy of the seismic attribute interpretation, could reduce t he artificial factors and could save the workload.
